Description
About Us:
Blindster.com is a pure e-commerce, B2C retail business located in Houston, Texas. Fifteen years ago, our owner bootstrapped the company with one employee and zero sales, and today Blindster is one of the largest retailers of custom window blinds in the US with over 30 employees! But we're not satisfied, and we won't stop until we are THE largest company in our industry. To do this, we are currently looking for a rock star to join our group, the "Blindster Bunch." If you meet the job qualifications and are interested in joining our band, we should talk!
Position Summary:
Blindster is seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and creative Multimedia Content Specialist to take ownership of all visual content across our brand. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys photography and video creation, but has a strong focus on editing — both photos and videos — to produce high-quality, polished content, along with supporting graphic design needs. You will be responsible for shooting and editing product photos and videos, maintaining and updating all website imagery, and designing promotional graphics that align with marketing campaigns. While the role covers a variety of creative responsibilities, you won’t be expected to handle all of them at the same time—projects will vary based on priorities and timelines, giving you the chance to focus on different creative areas throughout the year. This is a full-time position that reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Video Creation & Editing
- Shoot and edit videos for product launches, promotions, and social content.
- Create engaging short-form and long-form video content for our website and other platforms.
- Storyboard, film, and produce promotional and instructional videos in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Incorporate motion graphics and text overlays into video content as needed.
Image & Video Management
- Organize, upload, and maintain all product images and videos across the website and marketing channels.
- Remove outdated assets and ensure new launches have complete and accurate visuals.
- Maintain consistent file naming conventions and organized digital asset libraries.
Graphic Design
- Design promotional graphics for sales, emails, landing pages, and social media.
- Produce banners, badges, and other visuals aligned with brand guidelines.
- Support special creative requests from leadership and cross-functional teams.

Administrative & Meeting Coordination
- Prepare meeting agendas by gathering input from attendees, organizing discussion topics, and ensuring relevant materials are ready.
- Coordinate meeting schedules, update calendars, and ensure all campaign deadlines and milestones are visible to the team.
- Follow up on action items from meetings to ensure decisions are implemented.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with both internal teams and external partners.
- Eagerness to learn marketing tools and strategies, with a willingness to adapt to evolving needs.
- Bonus: Experience in marketing, ecommerce, or agency work that demonstrates real-world application.
Skills and Expertise:
- Exceptional time management and task prioritization to handle competing deadlines.
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish with minimal oversight, ensuring accountability.
- Openness to feedback and willingness to make adjustments to achieve better results.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with multiple teams and departments.
- Comfortable with digital tools and quick to learn new platforms and software.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
