Vertical blinds offer a practical and economical way to cover large windows and block out light and glare. Made of high-quality PVC louvers and an aluminum head rail, these blinds are built to stand up to harsh conditions in both homes and businesses.
STEP 1: Measure the width of your window opening in 3 places - top, middle and bottom. Record the most narrow of your 3 measurements to the nearest 1/8". If rounding is necessary, round down to the nearest 1/8". This is the width you will order. The factory will deduct approx. 3/8" from the width you order to allow space for the mounting brackets and allow room for operation. The valance deduction is approx. 1/8". Both deductions will be within a 1/8" variance.
STEP 2: Measure the height of the window opening in 3 places - left, middle and right. Record the tallest of the 3 measurements. This is the height you will order. From this measurement, the factory will make a necessary height deduction (sweep deduction) of 1/4" for inside mount only.
STEP 1: Measure the width of the area you want to cover from outside edge to outside edge. This is the width you should order. The blind will cut to the exact width you specify. The valance will be approx. 3/4" wider than blind to cover the mounting brackets.
STEP 2: Measure the height of the area you want to cover from outside edge to outside edge. This is the height you should order. There are no height deductions, the blind will be made to the height you order with a minimal + 3/4" tolerance.
Please note: We recommend vertical blinds hang 1" above the floor. Depending on your type of flooring, you may need to make an additional deduction of approx. 1/2" - 3/4". We also recommend that vertical blinds hang a minimum of 1/4" above the window sill.
