What are the best faux wood blinds?

Faux wood blinds are an appealing option for many homeowners, as they provide an elegant look that’s extremely similar to real wood blinds at a lower price point and with easier cleaning and maintenance requirements. At Blindster, we offer several types of faux wood blinds that can meet the needs of virtually every homeowner, including:

2" Premium Faux Wood Blinds: Our top of the line faux wood blinds have numerous built-in features to help these blinds out-perform and out-last other blinds on the market. The cordless lift system is both easy to use and child safe, and provides an uncluttered appearance with no dangling cords. Choose from a wide selection of white, off-white and even realistic stain colors.

2" Deluxe Faux Wood Blinds: Available at a lower price point than our premium faux wood blinds, these window coverings are both highly affordable and beautiful. Their 2" slats give you an excellent view outside and the offset route holes disappear when the blinds are closed, providing superior light blocking and privacy.

2" Super Value Cordless Faux Wood Blinds: Even though this is one of our less expensive faux wood options, it's a much better option than the off-the-shelf or pre-sized blinds on the market. This blind is custom-sized to your window and includes the cordless lift feature standard. Budget-friendly and reliable - what most people want from this type of blind!

What are thick or wide wood blinds called?

Wood blinds and faux wood blinds with extra wide slats are becoming more popular, but it can be confusing which is which.  For horizontal blinds, the standard slat size is 2" wide - these are the typical blinds you see almost anywhere.  Some products are available with wider slats, including 2 3/8", 2" 1/2" or even 3".  These wider slats equate to fewer slats in the window since the spacing is larger, providing a better view through the window. However, make sure to check the required inside mounting depth, as wider slats means that you'll need a deeper window casing in order to have the blinds fully recessed in the window.

What are the cheapest type of blinds?

At Blindster, we know that many homeowners look are on a budget and look for value and affordability in addition to style and design. That’s why we offer a variety of window coverings that can fit any price range while still complementing home décor and giving you the privacy and security you want.

Some of our most affordable blinds include:

1” Aluminum Blinds: One of the most common styles of blinds, our 1" aluminum blinds are incredibly versatile and are available in a wide assortment of different colors to fit any decor style.

Deluxe Blackout Vinyl Roller Shades: If privacy and affordability are your top concerns, these shades have got you covered. The durable, completely opaque material is perfect for both light blockage and total privacy from neighbors and anyone walking or driving near your home.

Cordless Light Filtering Single Cellular Shade: This shade is not only budget-friendly, it actually saves you money in the long run. The insulating properties of the cellular fabric help block out cold air in winter and warm air in summer, helping to lower your energy bills. They look great too!

What kind of Venetian blinds have the best visibility?

The term Venetian blinds refers to any blinds that have movable slats in a descending row from top to bottom that can be rotated to open or close. Whether they’re made from wood, faux wood, or aluminum, Venetian blinds are among the most common window treatments in American homes.

When it comes to visibility, the best types of Venetian blinds are those that have the largest slats. At Blindster, we offer several varieties of Venetian blinds with large slats, including our 2 1/2" Deluxe Faux Wood Blinds, our 2" Premium Wood Blinds, and our 2" Aluminum Blinds.

What are roller shades?

Roller shades are window coverings that provide the classic, traditional appearance the most people associate with standard shades. This style of shade features a single continuous piece of flat fabric that rolls up onto a tube at the top of the shade when you raise it.

Roller shades can vary in color, design, and even function. At Blindster, we offer a huge variety of roller shades, ranging from room darkening shades to total blackout shades to light filtering shades, all in a variety of styles and colors to help you find the perfect match for your home.

What are roller shades made of?

Roller shades are made from a variety of materials. As the name suggests, our Deluxe Blackout Vinyl Roller Shades are made from a high-quality vinyl fabric that’s also reinforced with fiberglass to block out light and provide the ultimate in privacy. We also offer standard fabric roller shades that are manufactured using high-quality woven polyester that uses an acrylic backing if a blackout option is selected.

What are vertical blinds made of?

Ideal for very large windows and sliding patio doors, vertical blinds use long vertical louvers that are mounted on a track directly above the window or door and can be adjusted to quickly and easily open or close. At Blindster, we offer several types of vertical blinds, including ones manufactured using both standard and embossed PVC, a soft and light-filtering fabric, and a faux wood material for the ultimate in elegance and affordability.
